A Smile from My Story More or Less

What do you need? This question causes me to stammer and respond, “I’m good.” When I can sit with the question, I usually can come up with something I need more of and something I need less of. The key is to find a way to balance both.

I am working on revision and editing in much the same frame of mind. Where do I over-tell, and where am I leaving out much-needed information? Where am I speaking for the characters when they need to speak for themselves? Where do I describe in too much detail or not enough?

Honestly, I love revision. The focus and time are well spent to take something from a rough idea and storyline to balance and craft. Here I am on scene 2, making progress like the tortoise.

I’m sharing with you one of the very first stories I wrote from real life as a single parent. Rereading it made me smile. Do you need more smiles in your life? Click below!

What about you? How are you managing your time and holding on to hope? You matter. Helping you grow your faith
