Sorting out the puzzle pieces

Sorting out puzzle pieces What is it like to start a new book? How does this relate to our everyday living? The knowledge of fear. The fear of knowledge. Often fear stops me cold. If I am in danger, that is a good stop. If I am in denial, lacking bravery, or making excuses, fear can stifle and shut me down. Sometimes, I fear what I do not know. Sometimes, I fear what I know. What about you? Can you hear me now? Let’s all listen. Just listen. No response other than I hear you. My fall is...

Pay attention to the things that distract you like a cat on top of a high cabinet

What do you pay attention to? I am often drawn to sounds that disrupt my thought process, whether I want to pay attention to them or not. Clicking pens, ticking clocks, anything that makes a sound on repeat, distract me so much that I no longer focus on what is important. How about you? Can you see my cat? FYI- these cabinets are above the refrigerator. Everybody Lies is ready for you! Click here to learn all you need to order your copy. I have five book clubs signed up to read Everybody...

What is the difference between those two words? Think about that for a minute. I can move and make no forward progress. I can act on that movement. Even if I only move one step forward, I can see a new perspective. Yesterday, I noticed a baby, bright-neon-green, lizard on the creamy white hydranga petals. As I turned to grab my phone for a picture, it moved just enough to be hidden. I can move like that, too. Can you? Five minutes can make a difference My first fiction book, Everybody Lies,...

Palm, sky and clouds random connections

Random is okay. The need to wander This week, I was not able to focus on one hard topic for discussion. My mind was all over the place. I am okay with that and hopeful that you will be, too. Connections often happen in the midst of the random. Do you find that even when you are experiencing a wide range of random thoughts, you can still make connections? Sometimes, our thinking mind needs freedom to wander. From that wandering, connections occur. Everybody Lies, the edited and updated...

True to yourself photo of Cindy B Curtis

This week has been up and down for me. Two book signing events, one surprise visit from a sister friend, a birthday celebration for my brother, and a nasty head cold for me. I detest getting a winter illness in the middle of a heat wave. Today, I will be true to myself by resting when I need to. What about you? Do you have a hard time taking care of you? Listen in today as I share my thoughts with you. Did I just take a picture of myself? To leave a review on Amazon of Everybody Lies To order...

Why wraps around What

I like to know why things happen. Science quickly became my favorite subject, especially when we made a hypothesis, tested it out, and discovered if we were right. Thank you. Mrs. Epps! I also like to be right. Too much. Way too much. My working on that looks like me doing a search for what I knew was right and gloating to myself instead of letting the person who also thought they were right know the sad truth that I was right after all. Sigh. This week's message is about accepting and...

Sunlight in trees a sense of urgency

Do you run on hyper speed? Do you feel like you run on hyper speed? may be a better question. I have recently recognized I can operate on a false sense of urgency which increases my anxiety and actually shuts me down. How can we stop feeling like we must hurry? I am in the final stages of proofing Everybody Lies. I will be scheduling book signings in the local communities. I'm so grateful for each one of you who have asked me, "When can I get a copy of your book?" COMING VERY SOON... I have...
