What do you pay attention to? I am often drawn to sounds that disrupt my thought process, whether I want to pay attention to them or not. Clicking pens, ticking clocks, anything that makes a sound on repeat, distract me so much that I no longer focus on what is important. How about you? Can you see my cat? FYI- these cabinets are above the refrigerator. Everybody Lies is ready for you! Click here to learn all you need to order your copy. I have five book clubs signed up to read Everybody...

What is the difference between those two words? Think about that for a minute. I can move and make no forward progress. I can act on that movement. Even if I only move one step forward, I can see a new perspective. Yesterday, I noticed a baby, bright-neon-green, lizard on the creamy white hydranga petals. As I turned to grab my phone for a picture, it moved just enough to be hidden. I can move like that, too. Can you? Five minutes can make a difference My first fiction book, Everybody Lies,...

I like to know why things happen. Science quickly became my favorite subject, especially when we made a hypothesis, tested it out, and discovered if we were right. Thank you. Mrs. Epps! I also like to be right. Too much. Way too much. My working on that looks like me doing a search for what I knew was right and gloating to myself instead of letting the person who also thought they were right know the sad truth that I was right after all. Sigh. This week's message is about accepting and...
